High Quality Accommodation

The cottage sleeps up to three people in a double and a single bedroom. The accommodation with full central heating is equipped and maintained to a high standard. Electricity and gas included in the price and all bedlinen is provided and beds made up with duvets. One bath and one hand towel per guest available at a small additional cost. For stays of more than one week clean bedlinen and towels provided. The cottage has been double glazed and the lounge has a gas stove fire in an original gritstone fireplace. It is well furnished with:

Kitchen

Upstairs is a landing with views to the rear and two bedrooms, one with double bed, and a single bedroom with 3ft single bed. The modern bathroom which is upstairs includes a bath with electric shower.

 

Outside, from the front garden, you can watch the world (or rather the village) go by from the garden bench. The garden to the rear offers outstanding views to Robin Hood's Stride, the White Peak and beyond. The garden has a picnic table, garden chairs and a barbecue.

To help you feel at home we also provide:

  • welcome tray for you on arrival with tea, coffee, biscuits and a pint of fresh milk
  • initial supply of sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil
  • washing up liquid, kitchen towels, foil, cling film, tea towels, etc.

A public telephone is available nearby and mobile coverage at the cottage is excellent. The cottage is non smoking and a pet free environment.

The nearest station is Matlock and buses run from the village to Matlock and Bakewell. No off road parking but easy parking near to the cottage.
